Several arrested in thefts

South Strabane Township police recently filed charges against several suspects accused of stealing items from businesses in the township.

Several are accused of stealing from Walmart, Trinity Point.

• Brent T. Heavner, 30, of New Brighton, Beaver County, is charged with retail theft and theft by deception for allegedly stealing items valued at $183 and returning them for a gift card.

• Kristen Joy Harps, 36, of 60 Carl Ave., Eighty Four, is charged with felony retail theft for reportedly stealing grocery items.

• Barry O. Chipps, 45, of 25 Burnsville Ridge Road, West Finley, is accused of stealing items valued at $174 from the store Oct. 7.

• Dondre Keshawn James, 19, of 745 Ewing St., Washington, is charged with retail theft and possessing an instrument of crime. He was found with a box cutter after he allegedly stole $294 in items Dec. 10.

• Christina Abbott, 36, and Branson McGary, 35, both of 530 Addison St., Washington, are each charged with retail theft and conspiracy for allegedly stealing $200 in clothing from the store Oct. 23.

• Sandra Jackson, 39, and Kiersten Webb, 22, both of Mc- Keesport, were charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing clothing and other items from Kohl’s, Strabane Square, on Dec. 2.

Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
