Police Beat Dec. 26
Theft: State police are investigating a case of access device fraud in which a “cloned” ATM card was used in November to make purchases.
Mailboxes damaged: Mailboxes were smashed at 264 and 440 Stewart Run Road in Center Township at 12:30 a.m. Dec. 13, state police said.
Theft: A Moultrie trail camera was stolen at 164 Nice St. between Nov. 1 and Dec. 5, state police said.
Retail theft: State police are investigating the attempted theft of a video game remote control at 11:24 a.m. Tuesday at Walmart.
Man charged: David H. Stauffer, 52, of 52 ½ W. Greene St. was charged by Waynesburg police with burglary and other charges after he allegedly broke into an adjoining apartment at 5 a.m. Tuesday. Police said Stauffer’s female roommate was in the apartment and had refused to come home. He was restrained by two men in the adjoining apartment but left when police were called.
Theft: A resident near 217 Glover Hill Road reported to state police Tuesday 41 wooden posts and an air compressor were stolen from the roadside.
