Theft from car: State police reported Benjamin R. Lytton, 38, of Strabane, had several items stolen from a vehicle while it was parked in the lot of Crile Consolidated. Police said the incident was reported around noon Thursday.

CENTERVILLE

Theft: A 74-year-old woman from the 400 block of Hickory Street, Richeyville, told state police in Belle Vernon a Star Shower laser lighting device was stolen from her front yard. Police are asking anyone with information to call 724-929-6262.

ELLSWORTH

Simple assault charge: James Matthew Thompson was arrested following an alleged incident involving two other people at 9:40 a.m. Dec. 9, according to state police. Police said in the process of arresting Thompson, he pointed a loaded handgun at one of two victims, listed as Jaime Thompson and Audra Sue Bonet.

FALLOWFIELD

Assault charges: Nicole Romantino and Steven Prentice were charged with simple assault following an alleged incident at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 20 at 60 Wisetown Road, according to state police at the Belle Vernon barracks. Police reported that the man and woman got into an argument and that both had visible injuries.
