Wrong-way driver causes I-70 crashes
WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) – Police are investigating at least two separate wrecks caused by a wrong-way driver on Interstate 70 in Ohio County.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Department told media outlets the driver and two other people were injured and taken to a hospital. Their conditions weren’t known.
The sheriff’s department said the wrecks occurred around 6 p.m. Saturday in the westbound lanes. Details weren’t immediately available.
The accidents shut down the westbound lanes of the interstate for about two hours.
