Police beat Dec. 30

Assault charge: Abby Haburcsak, 23, of 142 E. Third St., Gray Township, was charged with simple assault and harassment after a dispute with Andrew Bohatch. According to the complaint, California police were called to 136 Liberty St. about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a woman attempting to harm herself. Bohatch told police Haburcsak attempted to jump out of a window and scratched and bit him. Police observed a fresh bite mark on Bohatch’s arm and scratch marks in multiple locations. Haburcsak denied wanting to harm herself and said she bit Bohatch because he was holding her back. Haburcsak was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.
Assault charges: Michaella S. Bonds, 23, 10 Bel Air Drive, Washington, was placed in Washington County jail Tuesday on harassment, disorderly conduct and two simple assault charges. According to the complaint, state police were called to Belvedere Acres Monday for a report of a possible stabbing. Officers interviewed Daron Parks, who said Bonds punched him several times while holding a knife. A knife was found on the ground in front of the apartment complex. Bonds was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in jail on $2,500 bond.
Man sought: Canonsburg police searched for a man who fell asleep while waiting in the drive-through line at McDonald’s, 100 Bobby Vinton Blvd., about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. Employees told police the man was driving a blue truck when he allegedly hit a camera on the side of the building as he was backing up to leave.
Vehicle hit: Mark Troth of 520 Duquesne Ave. told police his car was hit overnight while parked outside his residence Sunday. Police found the passenger door dented, with white paint scraped across the side.
Paraphernalia found: Police received an anonymous call about 1:20 a.m. Saturday that drug paraphernalia was dumped at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and West Pitt Street. Officers found about 10 empty syringes on the road.
Signs stolen: Several “PT Willing to Wait” signs were reported missing Dec. 28 from front yards in the 100 block of Simmons Road and on Taper Drive. Each sign is valued at $22, police said.
