GREENSBORO – Mon View Roller Rink and Community Center in Greensboro will host a “Valentine’s Day Skate & Dance” from 7 to 11 p.m. Feb. 13. Admission is $8, which includes skate rental. Skating will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., and dancing will run from 9 to 11 p.m.

Anyone wearing red or pink to the “Skate & Dance” will receive a special treat. The event is sponsored by Consol Energy, Noble Energy, Greene County commissioners and the Greene County Department of Recreation.

This season at Mon View, every Friday will feature a “Skate & Dance” from 7 to 11 p.m., and open skating will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturdays. Admission for all attendees will be $8 Friday nights and $5 Saturday nights. Times and prices may change for special events.

In addition to the Valentine’s Day event, nine more “Skate & Dance” events are planned for Fridays: Feb. 6, 20 and 27; March 6, 13, 20 and 27; and April 10 and 17. Mon View Roller Rink will be closed April 3 and 4 due to the Easter holiday. The roller rink’s last day will be April 18.

The annual “Easter Egg Hunt & Skate” is planned for 1 to 4 p.m. March 28 at Mon View Park. Admission is $7 per child, and adult admission is free when accompanying a child.

Mon View is available to rent for private parties at a rate of $120 for two hours. The price covers admission and skate rental for 20 people.

A fee of $3 per additional person will be charged. Skate lessons are also available by appointment only.
