Simple assault: Jayson Edward Tolley, 30, of Carmichaels, was charged with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted a 25-year-old woman at 3:20 a.m. Sunday at a residence in Carmichaels Borough, state police said.

Minor injuries: A Kittanning man suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash at 3:34 a.m. Jan. 30 on Interstate 79, state police said. Taylor S. Fink, 22, was driving south when he lost control of his vehicle, which struck an embankment and rolled over in the southbound lanes.
