Snow falling from Ohio bridge shatters windshield

1 min read

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio (AP) – Police in northern Ohio said a plow pushed a heap of snow off a bridge and onto a vehicle passing below, shattering the windshield and crushing part of the car.

Robert Morgan of Elyria told The Chronicle-Telegram the snow fell onto his vehicle Sunday as he traveled along state Route 10 with his fiancée and two young sons. He says they weren’t hurt, but the car was badly damaged.

North Ridgeville police confirmed the details of what happened. They said it isn’t considered a crash and the plow driver won’t be charged because no harm was intended.

City officials are reviewing what happened.
