Shots reported at Monroeville Mall; police investigate

1 min read

MONROEVILLE (AP) – Three people have been shot at a Western Pennsylvania shopping center and have been taken to hospitals.

Monroeville Mayor Gregory Erosenko says the shooting happened Saturday night and he has only sketchy details. He says he doesn’t know the conditions of the three victims and it’s unclear whether the shooter was captured or escaped.

Pennsylvania native and ex-NFL quarterback Terrelle Pryor tweets he was at the Monroeville Mall and saw two people get shot.

Police say the mall is on lockdown as they investigate.

In late December, hundreds of teenagers gathered at the mall and several fights broke out. The fights caused local officials and mall administration to agree on a plan to increase security at the mall, just east of Pittsburgh.
