A Washington man was arraigned Tuesday on an arrest warrant in connection with his role in a string of burglaries he allegedly committed with a Burgettstown man last October in Amwell, Blaine and South Franklin townships.

Antonio Redman Heath, 30, of 77 Linnwood Drive, was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges filed by state police including conspiracy to commit burglary and theft, attempted burglary, receiving stolen property, burglary, theft and theft by deception.

His alleged co-conspirator, Eric James Pollock, 25, of 1067 Route 18, is in Washington County jail on $175,000 bond stemming from his arrest last October. Police stopped him for driving erratically. He was placed in jail on a parole violation. Police obtained a search warrant for his car. Among the items found was jewelry reported stolen from a house on Alamae Lakes Road in Amwell, a class ring stolen from a home in Blaine and medication stolen from a home in South Franklin.

Police allege Heath would usually knock on a door at homes. If no one would answer, Pollock went inside and would steal items, and Heath would stay outside as a lookout, police said. Heath allegedly entered at least one residence in Amwell.

The two were scared off at a home on Deerfield Road in South Franklin when the resident banged on the window after seeing Pollock walk around the house, police said.

The two reportedly stole cash, liquor and clothing. Some of the jewelry was recovered. Several items were sold at Washington area pawn shops.

Heath was placed in Washington County jail on $250,000 bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Feb. 23 before Ward.

Pollock waived his case on similar charges to court in December.

He is scheduled for formal arraignment Feb. 24.
