South Strabane police charge several with retail theft

South Strabane Township police filed retail theft charges Monday against four people accused of stealing items from stores.

Mary Beth Morgan, 53, of 1294 Route 519, Eighty Four, is accused of stealing items valued at $217 from Gabriel’s, Northgate Plaza, on Feb. 7. She is also charged with defiant trespass because she was banned from the store in 2011.

Kyle R. Brown, 21, of 619 Best Ave., Washington, and Alexyss Kennedy, 20, of 187 Maple Ave., Washington, are accused of stealing electronic items valued at $151 from Walmart, Trinity Point, on Sept. 11. They are also charged with conspiracy.

Chelsea Gauthier, 22, of Ford City, is accused of switching tags on items at Walmart and paying $44 for items valued at $151 on Feb. 2.

Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
