1 min read

Route 40 (Main Street) in Beallsville reopened just before noon after a crash involving a commercial delivery truck and a car at the intersection with Maiden Street.

Richeyville assistant fire Chief Chris Pohill said the crash happened just after 8 a.m. The woman who was driving the car had to be freed from the wreckage by firefighters, Pohill said. She was flown from the scene to a Pittsburgh hospital.

Pohill said Route 40 was closed for about three-and-a-half hours.

State police in Belle Vernon are still investigating the cause of the accident. Bentleyville firefighters also assisted at the scene.
