Dilliner man charged with simple assault

DILLINER – A Dilliner woman was allegedly forced out into the cold Sunday following an argument with her live-in companion.
State police arrested Shane Ray Rush, 53, of 132 A Riviera MHP, after being called to the home of Rush’s neighbor, Charles William Doyles.
Rush’s girlfriend, Christina Lynn Strosnider, knocked on Doyles’ door seeking shelter after Rush allegedly picked her up and forced her out the door of their mobile home after a verbal argument.
Strosnider fell onto their porch, injuring her elbow and sustaining cuts and abrasions, police said. Strosnider was not wearing shoes or a coat at the time.
Strosnider told police after she was in Doyles’ home, Rush arrived and began beating on the door and pushing it to gain entry, according to the criminal complaint. Rush allegedly broke part of the door but backed off when Doyles said he was calling the police.
Rush is charged with attempting to break into Doyles’ residence, criminal trespass, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
He is being held in Greene County jail on $20,000 straight cash bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Glenn Bates for 2:15 p.m. Monday.
