Passion play to be held in Wheeling
Heaven Bound Ministries will once again present the Easter musical passion play, HE’S ALIVE!, at the grand Capitol Theatre, Main Street, Wheeling, W.Va., March 27, 28 and 29.
The performances of March 27 and 28 will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the Palm Sunday matinee will begin at 3:30 p.m. The doors for each of the free performances will open one hour before the performance times. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. No reservations are needed.
HE’S ALIVE! has been a part of the Ohio Valley’s Easter Season celebration since l996. This live Christian theater production involves more than 200 cast and crew, hailing from around the tri-state area.
In 2014, nearly 6,000 people attended the production.
HE’S ALIVE! is produced and directed by Heaven Bound Ministries Inc., a nonprofit, non-denominational organization devoted to the sole purpose of spreading the Word of God through Christian entertainment via music, drama, humor and the spoken word.
Heaven Bound Ministries is governed by a five-member board of directors, Doris Estep, Rick Headlee, Brenda Hetzel, Michael Hooper and Jeannie Pierce Waychoff. Heaven Bound Ministries will be offering a charter bus service for the March 27 and March 29 performances.
The March 27 night bus will leave from the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle at 5 p.m. with a stop in Waynesburg at the Big Lots parking lot at approximately 5:30 p.m., then on to the Capitol Theatre. The March 29 charter bus will leave from the Big Lots parking lot at 1 p.m., arriving at the theater in Wheeling by approximately 2 p.m.
