Warming center locations around the area
During the winter, some senior citizens find themselves in need of a warm place to stay. There are several warming centers in Washington County that are open to senior citizens who are 60 years of age or older, according to Kathy Costantino, supervisor for the Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging, and Jeffrey Yates, director of public safety in Washington County. Their hours of operation and locations are:
• Bentleyville Senior Center, 931 Main St., 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Beth Center Senior Center, 316 Station St., Vestaburg, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Burgettstown Senior Center, 116 Main St., 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Canonsburg Senior Center, 30 E. Pike St., 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Center in the Woods, 130 Woodland Court, Brownsville, 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Claysville Senior Center, 105 Green St., 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Cross Creek Senior Center, 28 Clark Ave., Avella, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
