Driver faces charges: Sharon Kay Reigh, 45, of 336 Burton Ave., Washington, faces charges stemming from a Feb. 12 crash on Route 19 near Demar Boulevard. North Strabane police received a report from an ambulance crew as she drove south. She reportedly hit the median three times, almost sideswiped one vehicle before sideswiping another, forcing it into a guardrail. Police said she initially gave police false information about her identity. A state police drug recognition expert determined she was under the influence of a controlled substance and she was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for chemical testing. Police also learned her license was expired and she was wanted in Allegheny and Clinton counties on bench warrants. Police found drug paraphernalia, pills and an unregistered gun in the vehicle. She was taken to Washington County jail on the warrants. Charges will be filed at the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
