State police have identified the other trucker involved in Tuesday morning’s fatal crash on Interstate 70 in Buffalo Township.

Paul E. Tate, 59, Petal, Miss., was traveling west on I-70 near the Taylorstown exit when he crashed into a disabled tractor-trailer driven by Bradley Collins shortly before 7 a.m., police said.

Collins, 53, Bloomingburg, Ohio, was struck as he stepped from his tractor-trailer and died at a Pittsburgh hospital about five hours after the crash.

The interstate was closed between the Taylorstown and Claysville exits for about eight hours while crews removed the wreckage.
