California police charged two women Tuesday with endangering the welfare of children, disorderly conduct and other charges stemming from a Feb. 6 incident after they were found in a car with suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia while a 1-year-old girl was also in the vehicle.

Charges were filed against Arrielle Rivera, 36, of 114 Armor St., Richeyville, and Amber Shey Carlton, 24, of 710 Eighth St., Charleroi, at the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

The two were in Carlton’s car with Carlton’s daughter parked in a lot off Malden Road. Carlton is also charged with possession of paraphernalia in addition to traffic and equipment violations. Rivera is also charged with possession of heroin.
