Drug arrest: Noah Aloysius Farkas, 23, of 123 Elm Grove Drive, Canonsburg, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge David Mark on charges of delivery and possession of heroin. He allegedly sold 25 stamp bags of suspected heroin to a confidential informant and undercover Canonsburg police officer March 31, 2014. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Charges pending: Richard Fauvie, 39, of 35 Tyler Ave., Charleroi, faces a charge of driving under the influence after he reportedly crashed his vehicle into the back of another vehicle at Sixth Street and Fallowfield Avenue about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, Charleroi Regional police said. Fauvie was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital, where blood was drawn for testing.

Probation violation alleged: Ashley Coulson, 25, of 185 Arlington Ave., Charleroi, was placed in Washington County jail on an adult probation detainer after police were called to her home for a domestic dispute, Charleroi Regional police said. Police said they also plan to charge her with possession of drug paraphernalia after finding items in the home.

False reports: Melissa Ashmore, 41, of 301 W. Pike St., Houston, was charged by Chartiers police Thursday with making false reports after she allegedly made a false claim about being assaulted Jan. 15 at a township business. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Charged in crash: David D. Gibbs Sr., 60, of 736 Western Ave., Chartiers Township, was charged Thursday by Houston police with DUI, going through a red light and driving without headlights on stemming from a three-vehicle crash about 6 p.m. Monday. Police said he went through a red light at Pike and Main streets, striking one vehicle before crashing into a second. Police said his blood-alcohol content was almost three times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Identity theft: Betty Marker of Avella Road, Independence, told McDonald police Thursday her identity was used to file federal taxes. She was notified by the Internal Revenue Service to notify police and told she could not file her taxes at this time.

Assault arrest: Brian Lee Jones, 38, of 114 ½ Wylie Ave., Strabane, was arrested early Friday by North Strabane police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted Robin Hutchinson. He is accused of shoving his fist in her mouth and grabbing her by the hair. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond. He also is in jail on a bench warrant.

Slightly injured: Micha Ott, 27, of 456 Liberty Ave., Monongahela, was slightly injured Wednesday night when his pickup truck went off Brownlee Road, hit a stump and flipped on its side. He told police he swerved to avoid another vehicle that crossed into his lane. He was treated at the scene by Canonsburg Ambulance personnel.

Driver injured: William Haines, 29, of Prosperity, was injured Thursday afternoon when his vehicle slid on an ice- and snow-covered Park Avenue near Annuity Drive, South Franklin, and hit an embankment, state police said. He was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

Fake money: South Strabane police said a fake $50 bill was used Wednesday as part of the payment for a $145 dining bill at Red Lobster, Trinity Point. Management told police there were four adults and two children at the table.

Shots fired: Two vehicles parked in the lot at 50 Yard Line, 105 Henderson Ave., were reportedly shot about 2 a.m. Friday. Washington police received the report of shots fired and found a rear window of a vehicle owned by Brenda Foglia, the bartender, was shot, as was the rear bumper of a vehicle owned by John Mullett of Washington. A neighbor reported hearing a vehicle speeding away after the shots were fired. Police said a wrecked vehicle was later found abandoned nearby in a side lot at St. Hilary Church. The car was impounded, but police said it is not known if it was connected to the shooting.

DUI crash: George Sekura, 51, of 809 N. Main St., Washington, will be charged with DUI after he allegedly crashed into another vehicle in the 800 block of North Main Thursday afternoon. Police said his BAC was almost 3 ½ times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. He was placed in Washington County jail on a probation warrant.

Items stolen: Carmella Santapietro of Gibson Avenue told Washington police Thursday jewelry and a money order were stolen from her home.

Disorderly charge: James Klaus, 33, of 165 Grove Ave., was charged by Washington police with disorderly conduct after he allegedly made repeated calls to the 911 dispatch center for no legitimate reason between 3:10 and 3:35 a.m. Friday.
