Treasurer seeks 3rd term
Washington Treasurer Dennis L. Adams announced this week he is seeking a third term in office.
Adams, 67, is running in the Democratic primary and touted his office’s work to update software to “run smoothly and efficiently,” and to produce faster refunds and deposits.
He also said his office’s collections typically meet and exceed projections.
“Realize that all of these duties and accomplishments are carried out with minimal staff, but a staff that is experienced and very knowledgeable who are always eager to help customers, whether in person or by phone,” Adams said in a news release.
In addition to his two terms as city treasurer, Adams spent eight years on Washington School Board and four years as the city controller.
Adams is the first person to announce his candidacy for city treasurer.
