Two people were flown to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh by medical helicopter following a two-vehicle accident at 2740 Jefferson Avenue (Route 844) in Canton Township about 8:45 p.m. Monday night.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Elizabeth Ann Jackson, 31, of Washington, was traveling west on Jefferson Ave when a vehicle driven by Dominic John Bellotti, 24, of Washington, pulled out of a driveway and the vehicles collided. Jackson was listed in serious condition, while Bellotti was listed in stable condition.

State police said DUI charges against Bellotti are pending the results of blood testing.

Jefferson Avenue was temporarily closed to traffic.
