Police beat Feb. 28
Trailer breaks loose: Amanda Weekly of Wellsburg, W.Va., was slightly injured Thursday afternoon when state police said a natural gas drilling rig trailer being hauled by a truck driven by Bradley Burns of Indiana came undone and struck her vehicle on Route 844 near Buffalo Road, Hopewell. Police said Burns was driving west about 2 p.m., and Weekly was going east. Police said the vehicle Burns was driving was an oversized load for Penn Mechanical Group Inc. and towing a trailer owned by Falcon Drilling Co.
Paraphernalia charge: Devin Campbell, 19, of 252 Donnan Ave., faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after police said they found items in his backpack while assisting juvenile probation at his home Thursday. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
TV, chair stolen: Fred Ward of 161 Hall Ave. told Washington police Thursday a 32-inch flat-screen television and recliner were stolen from his home.
Marijuana charge: Sarah Widdington, 24, of 204 Lincoln Terrace, will be charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after Washington police said they found the suspected drug in her home. Police were called Thursday after getting a complaint of the odor of marijuana coming from her home. Two unidentified men fled from her residence. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
