Robinson adjusts terms for zoning board
The terms set for members of the Robinson Township zoning board have been inaccurate for about 15 years, the board of supervisors discovered recently.
Board of supervisors Chairman Rodger Kendall said previous boards had not been following the term schedule for appointments that is outlined by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code. Only one board member should be replaced each year, but all three zoning board members and both alternates had expiring terms in December 2014 or early 2015.
The board of supervisors on Monday passed a resolution to adjust the terms and fix the longstanding issue.
Zoning board secretary David Keene abruptly resigned a few hours prior to the reorganization meeting, and the board voted to replace him with alternate zoning board member David Foley.
Foley’s term will expire at the end of 2016.
Zoning board members David Sepesy and Mike Donaldson were retained, with terms expiring at the end of 2015 and 2017, respectively.
As alternates, the board appointed Joe Hradil and Chris Amodeo Sr., whose terms will expire at the end of 2016 and 2017, respectively.
