Glare causes school bus vs. van crash

1 min read

A fender-bender between two Peters Township High School student transport vehicles resulted in no injuries, a district spokeswoman said. Both vehicles, a bus and a van, had minor damage after the crash around 9 a.m. today.

“This morning as the bus arrived in the high school parking lot, bus 417 bumped a district van as it was coming to a stop. This issue was not weather-related, but rather a visibility issue from sun glare. While no student injuries were immediately reported, all students on the bus were checked by the school nurse as a precaution,” district spokeswoman Shelly Belcher said.

District officials said they called parents who had children on the bus.
