Man charged: David A. Whitlatch, 23, of Waynesburg was arrested by Waynesburg police after he allegedly used his mother’s credit card without permission to purchase $57.66 worth of cigarettes Dec. 23 from the Sunoco station in Waynesburg. Whitlatch was arraigned before District Judge Lou Dayich on charges of theft and unauthorized use of an access device. He was jailed on $7,500 bond and faces a preliminary hearing at 3:45 p.m. Jan. 15.
