BETHLEHEM (AP) – Authorities say a 47-year-old Pennsylvania man has plunged to his death after falling from a roof while trying to repair a chimney.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s office says Stanley Guzik, of Forks Township, was pronounced dead Saturday at 11:49 a.m. at a Bethlehem hospital.

First Deputy Coroner Erich Minnich says Guzik was atop the roof about an hour earlier working on a friend’s house on Alaska Street. He slipped on the pitched roof and fell two stories to the ground.

The cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the chest due to an accidental fall.
