Washington boy charged with making threats at school
A 12-year-old boy was removed from Washington Park Elementary School by city police for allegedly threatening to shoot two teachers and three classmates Wednesday.
Police said the boy did not have a gun when officers were summoned to the school at 801 E. Wheeling St. about 7 a.m.
The boy was suspended for making “a serious verbal threat,” said Roberta DiLorenzo, superintendent of Washington School District.
He was charged in a juvenile petition with making terroristic threats and was released to his mother, police said.
