Altercation charges: A man was charged and a woman cited following an alleged altercation Saturday on Second Street. State police reported an argument turned physical when Michael Dipasquale punched Pamela Dipasquale in the face, and both sustained minor injuries. Police said the man was charged with simple assault and harassment and that the woman would be cited for harassment.

Criminal mischief: State police in Waynesburg reported two windows were broken on a vehicle on Third Street between 3 and 3:30 a.m. Jan. 10.

Theft from PennDOT: State police reported items were stolen from Pennsylvania Department of Transportation property on Route 519 between 4 a.m. Jan. 6 and noon Jan. 7.

DUI suspected: State police said DUI charges were pending against Zaie Escribano, 33, of Canonsburg, following a one-vehicle crash at 2:20 a.m. Saturday. Police reported Escribano was driving southbound on Interstate 79, near mile marker 43, when he lost control of the car, which struck a hillside, overturned and sustained heavy damage. They said he was not injured.
