Two charged: Kayla R. King, 24, of Mt. Pleasant, and James A. Eicher, 37, of Normalville, were arrested by state police Saturday after they allegedly attempted to steal $1,216 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart. Police said the two were stopped by store loss prevention personnel as they attempted to leave the store with a shopping cart full of merchandise for which they had not paid. The two were arraigned on charges of retail theft before District Judge Lou Dayich and placed in Greene County jail, Eicher on $10,000 bond and King on $7,000 bond. Their preliminary hearing is Jan. 26.
