A Smith Township woman was arrested by township police Monday afternoon after she allegedly broke into her neighbor’s home.

Anna Sky, 45, who also is known as Toni Russell, 54 Fourth Ave., Atlasburg, is accused of breaking into a neighbor’s residence.

Police received a report about 2:30 p.m. of a burglary at 56 Fourth. Township police Chief Bernie Larue said Sky went to the neighbor’s home and kicked in the door.

When police arrived, they found a glass storm door was shattered and torn. The wooden door was kicked and had several holes.

Police met a 16-year-old boy who was home at the time, and he told police Sky walked over from her home and started banging on the door. The 16-year-old told police he took his younger brother into a bedroom to hide and called 911.

Sky then walked to the front of the house, and that’s when the teen heard the sound of breaking glass and the wooden door being hit with an unknown object. He said he looked out the window and saw his neighbor.

Larue said Sky did not recall doing the damage, but she had cuts and dried blood on her hands when they found her at her home. She refused treatment by emergency medical personnel.

Larue said Sky recently changed her name.

Sky was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. She was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 29 before District Judge Gary Havelka.
