Clarksville Lions honor J-M student
JEFFERSON – Reagan Rush, a senior at Jefferson-Morgan High School, is Clarksville Lions Club January student of the month.
Rush, daughter of Rich and Chris Rush of Jefferson, maintains a 4.375 grade-point average.
She is president of both student council and Leo club and serves as secretary of National Honor Society. She is captain of the softball team and a member of the rifle team. Rush participates in Youth Traffic Safety, Envirothon, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Interact Club.
As a junior, she received the University of Rochester Science Excellence Award.
Rush volunteers her time by maintaining the courtyard at Jefferson-Morgan, packing backpacks for the school’s backpack program, ringing bells for Salvation Army and participating in roadside cleanup.
In the fall, Rush will attend Seton Hill where she has been accepted into the physician assistant program. She also was the recipient of the Elizabeth Seton Presidential Scholarship valued at $15,000 annually. She also plans to play softball.
