Community Action adds class in Bentleyville
Community Action Southwest added a site in Bentleyville for its adult education program that is designed to assist residents age 17 or older to obtain a GED or increase skills to secure employment or attend a trade school or college.
Effective immediately, classes are being offered from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays in the community room at Bentleyville Apartments, 507 Old West Road.
Upon enrollment and orientation, state-certified instructors will work with students to determine the appropriate level of classes they will attend in addition to establishing their weekly class schedule.
Students enrolled in the program also will be paired with a case manager who will assist them on job development and trade school or college enrollment procedures. In addition to the Bentleyville site, classes are being held in Washington and Greene Counties. Classes are taught every Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week at the Greene, Mon Valley and Washington CareerLink sites.
CAS also offers classes Tuesday afternoons at its Carmichaels, Burgettstown and Washington offices and until 7 p.m. Thursdays in Carmichaels and Washington.
Prospective students or those seeking more information can call 1-877-814-0788, extension 539.
