Police beat Jan. 22
Drug arrest: Henri F. Seabright, 18, of West Mifflin, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver marijuana filed by the Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force. He is accused of selling the drug to a confidential informant on the campus of California University of Pennsylvania in October. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Warrant arrest: Alek Swiger, 23, of 2043 Route 980, McDonald, turned himself in to Canonsburg police at their station Tuesday. He was wanted on a bench warrant issued by Judge John DiSalle for failure to report to his probation officer.
Tablet stolen: Travis Holt of Vine Street told Canonsburg police Tuesday his 10-inch RCA tablet was stolen from his home.
Receiving charge: Cortney Orgovan, 23, of Washington, was charged Tuesday by state police with receiving stolen property for allegedly selling jewelry stolen Dec. 22 from a home in the 1200 block of South Hewitt Avenue, Canton, at the Jewelry Depot in Washington. The charge was filed at the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger. The alleged thief, Crystal Montano, was arrested earlier this month.
Television stolen: Dave Oliver of Governors Circle told Chartiers police Monday his 32-inch flat-screen television was stolen from his home.
Propane investigation: Firefighters from Chartiers and Mt. Pleasant townships were called about 11 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a smell of propane in the area of the MarkWest plant on Route 519. Firefighters investigated but were unable to locate the odor.
Woman jailed: Stephanie M. Rack, 23, of 19 Applewood Drive, New Eagle, is charged by Monongahela police with four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, accused of having six empty heroin stamp bags during a traffic stop about 2:30 p.m. Sept. 7, 2014, at Chess and Walnut streets. She is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond after being arrested on a warrant and arraigned Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Theft arrest: William Phillips IV, 30, of 9 Ziskind Road, Fredericktown, was arrested Tuesday by South Strabane police on a charge of retail theft after he allegedly stole a cordless drill from Walmart, Trinity Point. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond. He also was wanted on a bench warrant.
