Sheriff’s office receives $5,000 grant from EQT
WAYNESBURG – Greene County sheriff’s office received a $5,000 grant from EQT to help with the purchase of supplies and equipment for the department.
An EQT representative said “EQT has a long-standing commitment to making a positive impact on the communities where we live and work, and we value being a good corporate citizen in our operating areas.”
In 2014, EQT made significant contributions to several Greene County organizations, which doesn’t include the numerous fairs and festivals EQT sponsors.
In 2015, EQT will partner with the Greene County sheriff’s department to identify some key areas that could use extra funding.
“EQT recognizes the demand placed on the sheriff’s department, and is happy to be in a position to assist,” the EQT spokesman said.
