Police beat Jan. 30
Faces charges: Robert Trevon Bell, 20, of Beaver Falls, faces charges of resisting arrest, false identification to law enforcement, underage drinking, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident early Sunday at the Wood Street Grille, 151 Wood St. California police said he became abusive, resisted officers and fled. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Theft: A catalytic converter was reported stolen Wednesday from a car parked in the lot of Ross Auto Body, 389 Georgetown Road, Lawrence, Cecil police said. The part is valued at $1,700, police said.
Three charged: Three men were charged Wednesday by South Strabane police with providing false information on a firearms application and unsworn falsification while filling out paperwork to purchase weapons. Police said Jamie Joseph Winters, 35, of Pittsburgh, and Joshua B. Phipps, 28, of Harmony, were attempting to purchase weapons last summer at Ace Sporting Goods, Washington Road, and Glenn E. Weaver, 52, of Pricedale, was trying to buy a gun at Field & Stream, Old Mill Boulevard. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Assault charge: Danielle Metts, 46, of 130 Sugar Maple Circle, North Franklin Township, was arrested Wednesday night by Washington police after she allegedly scratched her boyfriend, James Gordon, during a confrontation at 256 Donnan Ave. about 5 p.m. Metts was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on a charge of simple assault and placed in Washington County jail on a $5,000 percentage bond. Gordon, 33, was cited for harassment following the incident.
