TPS workshops planned

WAYNESBURG – Waynesburg University’s Teaching with Primary Sources Program will hold an Online Institute and Pennsylvania Common Core, a free level I workshop, beginning Feb. 10 and running through March 3.

The workshops will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on four consecutive Tuesdays.

All educators are invited to participate and will have the opportunity to earn up to 15 PDE Act 48 Activity Hours.

TPS Online Institute aims to expand educators’ understanding of the Library of Congress and help them discover effective strategies for teaching with primary sources.

Participants can expect to learn strategies and methods useful for teaching with primary sources, how to align classroom activities with Common Core standards and foster project development, group discussion and peer collaboration.
