Pedestrian in serious condition after Houston accident
A pedestrian was taken by helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh after he was struck by a vehicle early Friday at West Pike Street and Route 519 in Houston.
Samuel W. Ilyankoff of 109 E. McNutt St., Houston, was traveling west along West Pike Street about 4:30 a.m. when he struck Javone N. Hairston of 345 E. Pike St., Houston, state police said.
Hairston’s injuries were not specified in the police report, but he was in serious condition at the hospital late Friday morning.
The accident remains under investigation. Additional information was not immediately available.
