Nurse threatened: Antonio Jerome Beard, 33, of Parma, Ohio, was arrested Tuesday by Carroll police on charges of terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after he allegedly caused a disturbance and threatened a nurse while he was being treated at Monongahela Valley Hospital. He also is accused of throwing liquid on a computerized copier used by staff. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $1,000 bond.
Theft report: Jessica Wagner, 37, of 135 Union St., New Eagle, is charged by township police with theft, accused of stealing a car from Philip Seighman of Keenan Hill Road about 6:45 p.m. June 28, court records state. She is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Assault charges: Tanner Mooney, 18, of 71 Second St., Lawrence, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly assaulted his stepfather and then fought with Cecil police who responded to the call. Mooney initially was arguing with his stepsister and reportedly spit on her and dumped a soft drink on her. He then allegedly started tearing up the house and spitting at anyone who came near him, police said. When his stepfather, Sean Bioni, tried to restrain Mooney, the 18-year-old allegedly kicked and bit him. When police tried to take Mooney into custody, they said he tried to pull away and the officers fell on a couch on top of him. Police said he continued to struggle with the officers as they tried to put handcuffs on him and tried to bite one of them. Police used a Taser to subdue him. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of aggravated assault on police, simple assault, resisting arrest and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
Man jailed: Robert Chaney, 54, of Oakland, Calif., is charged by borough police with making terroristic threats, trespassing and harassment, court records show. He is accused of entering the residence of one of his tenants in the 600 block of Thompson Avenue and threatening to harm her about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. He is in Washington County jail on a bench warrant and $5,000 bond set by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Vehicle damaged: Charles D. Zombeck of 336 E. Lincoln Ave. told McDonald police Tuesday his vehicle was damaged while parked outside his house.
Fugitive arraigned: Robert R. Sherman, 40, of Fairmont, W.Va., was arraigned Wednesday as a fugitive from justice on felony charges of retail theft and conspiracy after being returned from Maryland. South Strabane police charged him with three counts of retail theft last year after he allegedly stole items from three stores Dec. 20, 2013. He is accused of stealing a vacuum cleaner valued at $649.99 from Target, Strabane Square; four computers valued at $2,542 from Walmart, Trinity Point; and three computers valued at $2,397 from Sam’s Club, Trinity Point. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail without bond.
Medication stolen: Mary Hickman of the 300 block of Locust Avenue told Washington police Tuesday her prescription medication was stolen from her apartment.
Chargers, batteries stolen: Lewis Golubosky told Washington police Tuesday five chargers, batteries and a tool bag were stolen from 13 Murtland Ave.
Car stolen: Randall Higgins Jr. of Washington told Washington police Tuesday his blue 1993 Toyota Corolla was stolen from Westland Muffler, 1105 Fayette St. He told police he took the car in for repairs. An employee of the business told Higgins someone picked up the car. The license is JBG-7519.
Chain saw stolen: A chain saw owned by Washington School District was reported stolen Tuesday from outside Washington High School, 201 Allison Ave.
