Washington police responded to a robbery call at Kwik Fill Wednesday. Police said a white man who covered his face with the hood of his oversized jacket stole about $100 Wednesday from a Kwik Fill clerk in Washington. City police said it did not appear as if the suspect carried a weapon during the 2:15 p.m. robbery of the business in the 600 block of East Maiden Street. The gasoline pumps and convenience store were under lockdown while police combed the neighborhood looking for the suspect. The robber fled on foot toward Rosewood and Springfield avenues, police said.
