Penn State budget includes no in-state tuition increase

1 min read

MONACA (AP) – Penn State will keep tuition the same for the university’s in-state undergraduates in the upcoming school year, and the school said it’s the first time in 49 years there’s been no annual increase.

The proposal was unveiled and approved Friday at the university’s board of trustees meeting at Penn State’s Beaver campus. It keeps annual tuition at about $16,570.

The $504 student information technology also will remain flat for the first time in 20 years.

Non-Pennsylvania resident tuition will rise by 2.8 percent on average, generating another $18 million for the school.
