1 min read

An Ellsworth man is in Washington County jail on charges of pushing a woman in the face and throwing silverware at a bathroom door while she and her son were barricaded behind it Thursday night. The woman told police Joshua Sindermann, 36, of 47 Chestnut St., returned home drunk shortly before 10 p.m., and that the two got into an argument. Sindermann then pushed the woman in the face and and her son retreated to a bathroom, where Sindermann pushed her again as she tried to close the door. The woman told police Sindermann threw butter knives and other silverware at the bathroom door while she called 911. Sindermann was arraigned Friday before District Judge Curtis Thompson on simple assault and harassment charges and and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
