PennDOT schedule

The state Department of Transportation has issued its tentative work plan for Greene County roads for this week.

Maintenance activities are conducted weather-permitting. Motorists should drive with caution through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights, Greene County maintenance manager Jerry Simkovic said.

•A bridge replacement project will be done on Route 1023 in Cumberland Township.

•Bridge flushing will be conducted on bridges on various state routes throughout the county.

•Patching will be done on Route 21 from the West Virginia line to Route 18, Golden Oaks Road to the Washington County line, Route 18 in the West Greene area to the Washington County line and on various routes in the Carmichaels, Clarksville and Jefferson areas.

•Drainage work will be done on Route 21 in Wind Ridge.

•Flood cleanup will be completed on WW Railroad Road, Dillie Road and Waterdam Road. It also will done on Route 221 in Washington and Franklin townships.

•Pipe flushing and replacement will be conducted on Route 2031, Alicia Road, in Monongahela Township.

•Pavement patching will be done on Route 188 in Jefferson Township.

•Slide repairs will be done on Route 3009, Toms Run, in Jackson Township.

•State roads will be inspected and signs updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.

PennDOT has a 24-hour toll free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concerns. This number can also be used to report locations of dead deer on state highways. The number is 1-800-FIX-ROAD (1-800-349-7623).
