Man jailed: Joseph M. Timko, 50, of 1854 Main St., Allenport, is charged by state police with failure to comply with Megan’s Law and unsworn falsifications to authorities over multiple discrepancies reported Jan. 21, court records show. Timko is in Washington County jail on $75,000 bond set Thursday by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Tablet stolen: Elizabeth Metz, of 523 Franklin Ave., told Canonsburg police Wednesday that an Xtreme Play tablet was stolen from her vehicle last week.
Money stolen: Joanne E. White, 333 W. Pike St., told Canonsburg police Wednesday her debit card was used to access $282 and $52 from her bank account at an automated teller machine in Washington. She told police she had her personal identification number taped to the card.
Bikes stolen: Adam Lohr of 65 Southview Road, Cecil, told township police two blue Huffy mountain bikes were stolen from his front porch Wednesday.
Drug arrest: Linda Piper, 32, of 167 N. Second St., West Newton, was charged by Charleroi Regional police with possessing nine stamp bags of heroin during a traffic stop about 1:10 p.m. May 26 at Fourth Street and Long Alley in Charleroi, court records show. Piper is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set Wednesday by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Vehicle stolen: Burnette Moore, of 850 Addison St., told East Washington police her silver Hyundai Santa Fe was stolen just before 6 p.m. Tuesday from outside 225 North Ave. She told police she went inside for a few minutes and when she came out, it was gone. The keys were in the vehicle. The vehicle has West Virginia plates DNY880.
Hit-and-run crash: Susan Shaffer, 62, of New Salem, told South Strabane police she was slowing for a red light while driving east on East Maiden Street at Sanitarium Road Tuesday morning when her vehicle was hit from behind by an older model blue Ford Ranger driven by an older woman with gray hair. The other driver fled. A passenger in Shaffer’s vehicle, Curtis Shaffer, 65, also of New Salem, was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.
Theft arrest: Tara Johnson of 180 Ohio St., Washington, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by Washington police on a theft charge after she was reportedly caught breaking into vehicles in the 600 block of Jefferson Avenue. Police received several reports about her and also learned she was staggering down the street. Police saw her enter a vehicle. Police said she had stolen items valued at $1,000 in addition to mail and letters. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Drugs found: Christine Elder, 39, of Washington, will be charged with drug possession after she was found with suspected crack while being processed Thursday into Washington County jail on a probation violation. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Harassment charge: William Ankrom, 49, of 344 Houston St., Washington, was charged by Washington police with harassment after he allegedly shoved and threatened his son, Tyler Ankrom, 21, of Canton Township, during a confrontation Wednesday at Elm and East Maiden streets. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Wallet stolen: Paijai Smith, of 38 W. Walnut St., reported a wallet containing a debit card and identification stolen from her home.
Threat charges: Benjamin Julian Volle, 24, of 796 Addison St., Washington, was charged by city police with harassment and terroristic threats for allegedly threatening to shoot his father, William Volle, during an argument. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
