PITTSBURGH (AP) – A jury has convicted a Western Pennsylvania man of murder for the second time this year.

An Allegheny County jury found 23-year-old James Lawrence guilty of first-degree murder Thursday in the killing of a mother of six outside a Pittsburgh bar more than two years ago.

Prosecutors say the Pittsburgh man killed 28-year-old Tiona Jackson and wounded a man as they left Red’s Bar in February 2013. A second man, 24-year-old Dorian Peebles, was also charged in the shooting and will stand trial later this year.

In March, Lawrence was convicted of third-degree murder in the shooting death of 21-year-old Steven Lee Jr. He was pulled off a party bus in the Sheraden neighborhood a month after Jackson was killed.
