The Town and Country Garden Club earlier this month awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Jefferson-Morgan graduate Gavin Koratich. Scholarship Chairman Helen Barbor, left, presented the scholarship at the school’s 14th Annual Senior Banquet. Gavin ranked among the top 10 percent of his graduating class with a cumulative 4.12 quality grade-point average. He will attend Washington & Jefferson College this fall and major in history and pre-law. He is the son of Michael and Tammy Koratich of Waynesburg. Gavin is the 25th student to receive this scholarship awarded annually.
