Police beat June 20
Fight: Canonsburg police broke up a fight about 1:45 a.m. Friday involving two men on North Jefferson Avenue outside D’s Locker Room. Police plan to cite one of the men.
Disturbance: Police responded to a call of a fight about 9:40 p.m. Thursday at Hofbrau on Highland Avenue. One of the men had already left.
Disturbance: Police responded to a property dispute over a paper alley that turned physical about 6 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of South Central Avenue. The victim was unsure if he wanted to press charges.
Hit-and-run: A driver struck several posts and fencing in the area of 747 North Main St. about 10 p.m. Thursday. Neighbors did not see the vehicle.
Theft: Gary Eaton reported to South Strabane police he saw a silver truck drive by the Executive House Apartments at 800 E. Beau St. about 6 p.m. Thursday with a lawn mower in the back that he recognized as belonging to the apartment building. When he checked, he also noticed that a chainsaw and hedge trimmers were stolen.
Drug charges: James Chandler, 35, of 174 Barnett St., Washington, faces drug and paraphernalia charges stemming from a parole check Thursday. City police said they found a bag of suspected marijuana under a pillow and a digital scale on a bed stand. He was arraigned by District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on a state parole detainer.
