Commissioners OK salary changes
WAYNESBURG – Greene County commissioners Thursday unanimously approved changes to their compensation standards for county employees.
The commissioners updated the employee handbook to increase “longevity bonuses” to $1,250 and put in writing the process in which to grant cost-of-living increases for workers.
The commissioners also approved during a subsequent salary board meeting a 3-percent cost-of-living increase beginning July 1 for all non-union full-time and regular part-time employees with at least a year of experience.
Those same full-time employees will also receive a retroactive increase of $500 in their “longevity” bonus that is given to workers on four-year cycles.
