PennDOT issues work schedule
The state Department of Transportation issued the following tentative work plan for Greene County starting Monday.
Maintenance activities are conducted weather permitting. Jerry Simkovic, Greene County maintenance manager, urged motorists to drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for work zones requiring the use of headlights.
• Bridge Replacement on state Route 1023 in Cumberland Township.
• Bridge flushing will be conducted on various state routes throughout Greene County.
• Patching on Route 21 from the West Virginia line to Route 18-Golden Oaks Road and to the Washington County line. Greene Street in Franklin Township to south of Waynesburg, state Route 218 in Wayne and Franklin townships, and various roads in Carmichaels, Clarksville and the Jefferson areas.
• Slide repair on Whitethorn Run Road in Richhill Township.
• State roads will be reviewed and signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
