Easter-related activities planned in Greensboro
GREENSBORO – Mon View Park in Greensboro will be the site of an Easter egg hunt, skate and other Easter-related activities March 28, including a visit from the Easter Bunny.
Admission for the day’s events is $7 per child. Adult admission is free when accompanying a child.
Sponsored by First Federal Savings & Loan of Greene County, Noble Energy, Waynesburg Animal Hospital and the Greene County commissioners, and presented by Greene County Department of Recreation, the event begins at 1 p.m. with an Easter basket decorating contest. Baskets should be decorated ahead of time and ready to be judged.
During the contest from 1 to 1:30 p.m., Buffo, the World’s Strongest Clown, will perform. At 1:30 p.m., Easter basket judging will begin, and prizes will be awarded for first-, second- and third-place winners in five different age categories. Also at 1:30 p.m., the Easter egg hunt will begin in the park, and a special prize will be given to the child who finds a Department of Recreation coin hidden in one of the eggs. From 2 to 4 p.m., the park’s roller rink will host an Easter-themed skate.
This season at Mon View, every Friday will feature a “Skate & Dance” from 7 to 11 p.m., and open skating will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturdays. Admission for all attendees will be $8 on Friday nights and $5 on Saturday nights. Times and prices may change for special events.
Six more “Skate & Dance” events are planned for Fridays March 6, 13, 20 and 27 and April 10 and 17. Skating will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., and dancing will run from 9 to 11 p.m.
