Boy faces charges: A boy will be charged in a juvenile allegation with simple assault after he allegedly hit two girls and bit a boy during a confrontation Tuesday on Main Street, state police said.

Truck damaged: A Bentleyville man told state police Tuesday 18 holes were drilled into the metal of his 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck while it was parked on Oliver Avenue. Tools also were stolen from the bed of the truck.

Vehicle stolen: Representatives of Canary Oil Services told state police Feb. 24 an employee failed to return a company vehicle to its location at 97 Pines Marginal Road.

One injured: Shelva Haileyesus, 61, of Charleroi, was injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Route 88. State police said Diane Huweart, 33, of Monessen, was driving south on Route 88 when she failed to react to stopped traffic and hit the back of Haileyesus’ car. Haileyesus was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment. Police said Huweart will be cited for careless driving.

DUI alleged in crash: Mt. Pleasant Township police said Donna Kolb, 53, of Hickory, will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after her vehicle crashed into a utility pole owned by Hickory Telephone on Martin Road about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police said she failed a field-sobriety test, and that her blood-alcohol content was almost 2 ½ times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed.

Wires downed: Township police said Jeremiah Anderson, 26, of Burgettstown, will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he crashed his vehicle into a Hickory Telephone pole on Fort Cherry Road about 10:20 a.m. Thursday. The road was closed for about two hours while crews lifted the downed telephone wires. Anderson failed a field-sobriety test and refused to submit to a blood-alcohol test, police said.

Shovels taken: Two snow shovels valued at $40 were reported stolen Tuesday from the front porch of a home on Kuchinic Street, Venetia, police said.

House entered: Shaelyn Saunoras of Ewing Street told Washington police she heard her door open about 1 a.m. Thursday and saw a man unhooking her Sony Playstation 4 and taking it, along with the controller and two games. He also allegedly punched a hole in a wall. She provided police with the suspect’s name. Charges will be filed.

Marijuana possession: Gary Chencosky, 53, of 280 E. Prospect St., will be charged with possession of marijuana after city police say he was found staggering down the street Wednesday. Police said they found two pill bottles containing suspected marijuana and burnt marijuana.

Televisions stolen: Jamie Harvey of Ewing Street told Washington police Wednesday three flat-screen televisions, a 50-inch, 40-inch and 19-inch, were stolen from her home. The intruder also let her dogs out. A pit bull puppy was still missing, police said.

DUI charge: Gary D. Marshman, 28, of 232 Crescent Drive, Canton Township, will be charged by Washington police with driving under the influence of alcohol after he allegedly pulled out in front of a city police cruiser early Wednesday in the 600 block of Jefferson Avenue. Police said the officer had to slam on the brakes to avoid a collision. Police said Marshman drove down the middle of Jefferson until he was stopped in the 1000 block, where he hit the curb when pulling over. Police said his BAC was almost double the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed.
